January 23, 2024 – Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) – Milwaukee Wave News Release
The Wave were hoping to hand the first place and undefeated Flash their first loss of the season; instead Monterrey served up a 9-4 vicotry snapping Milwaukee’s 5 game winning streak.
“Couple things you can’t do on the road against a team witht he best record in the league is start slow and make mistakes to beat ourselves,” said Milwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. “Monterrey is topof the table for a reason and we knew it wasn’t going to be perfect but to hand them goals on top of them being a good team and creating their own goals; it was a lot to fight back from.”
Milwaukee Wave goals were scored by Stuart Grable (Andre Hayne), Ian Bennett x2 (Augie Rey / Ricardo Carvalho) and Tony Walls (Ricardo Carvalho).
