WINNIPEG, MB. – Valour FC today announce that the club has signed Spanish defender Roberto Alarcón.
Alarcón, 25, joins Valour FC from Cavalry FC, where he spent the past two seasons, tallying three assists and 1,798 minutes played in 29 appearances.
“Roberto has qualities that could make him one of the league’s best full backs,” said Head Coach & GM Phillip Dos Santos. “He’s dynamic, good on the ball and is a competitor. That’s what we need to win matches.”
The defender first came to North America in 2020 when he signed with FC Tuscon (USL), making 16 appearances and scoring two goals.
Before joining Cavalry FC, Alarcón spent time with Romanian club Universitatea Cluj, making nine appearances with the club during the 2021 season.
