Tottenham predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest

Richarlison

Tottenham will hope to record consecutive wins in the Premier League for the first time since October when they visit Nottingham Forest on Friday night.

Spurs bounced back from a run of four league losses in five games as they smashed a weary Newcastle 4-1 on Sunday thanks to goals from Destiny Udogie, Richarlison and Son Heung-min.

Ange Postecoglou still has a number of injury absentees to concern himself with, Giovani Lo Celso being the latest player to fall foul of a knock.

Here’s the side the manager may deploy to pick up a second win in five days.

Richarlison

GK: Guglielmo Vicario – Was accused of “disrespect” by Callum Wilson after Sunday’s results. Y’know, that same Callum Wilson who rejoiced in a terrible VAR decision in 2020 and mocked Richarlison’s lack of goals last season.

RB: Pedro Porro – Continues to impress in his central right-back role, taking up great positions and offering creativity when he does drift out wide.

CB: Cristian Romero – There’s no in-between setting for Romero. He’s either not playing football or cracking the ankles of fellow professionals, as Wilson found out being on the end of a nasty challenge.

CB: Ben Davies – Doing a decent job in Micky van de Ven’s absence, making a crucial intervention to prevent Newcastle scoring when the game was still in the balance.

LB: Destiny Udogie – Scored his first Spurs goal on Sunday and then signed a new contract to extend his stay until 2030.

CM: Pape Sarr – Was brilliant last time out in his first start since defeat at Wolves in November, his indefatigable running proving crucial as Spurs won the midfield battle against Newcastle.

CM: Yves Bissouma – Getting back to his best after a few ropy displays against Manchester City and West Ham.

RW: Brennan Johnson – Made a £47.5m switch from Forest to Spurs in the summer and will face his boyhood club.

AM: Dejan Kulusevski – Has slid into James Maddison’s boots smoothly in recent weeks, though his challenge remains to score more regularly. Has four league goals so far this season.

LW: Son Heung-min – A positional switch saw Son moved to the left against Newcastle, where he proceeded to totally ruin former teammate Kieran Trippier.

ST: Richarlison – Looks to be operating with more freedom since undergoing surgery and netted twice on Sunday.
