122 Badgers named to fall Academic All-Big Ten Team


MADISON, Wis. — Excelling both in the classroom and in their sports, an outstanding 122 student-athletes from the University of Wisconsin fall sports teams were named to the 2023-24 Academic All-Big Ten team, as announced by the Big Ten on Thursday. Football led the list with 55 honorees, while women’s cross country had 18 recipients and men’s cross country collected 10. Volleyball earned 10 honors, while women’s soccer garnered 20 and men’s soccer had nine Badgers earn spots on the academic honor team.

The Big Ten Conference recognized a total of 1,575 students on fall sports rosters who have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports, have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Leading their fellow Badgers in the classroom, 10 Wisconsin student-athletes all maintained perfect 4.0 grade-point averages (bolded in the team lists below):
