CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson, North Carolina and Notre Dame will play in the quarterfinals of the 2023 NCAA Championship on Saturday with berths in the NCAA College Cup on the line.

No. 2 seed Notre Dame plays host to in-state rival Indiana and No. 3 seed North Carolina entertains Oregon State, with both matches at 5 p.m. No. 9 seed Clemson welcomes No. 16 seed Stanford at 6 p.m. The advancing teams move on to the NCAA College Cup next weekend in Louisville, Kentucky.

This is the fifth straight season in which three ACC teams reached the NCAA Quarterfinals.

All NCAA Tournament action will air on ESPN+ until the NCAA College Cup, which will be broadcast on ESPNU on Dec. 8 and 11.

Noting ACC Men’s Soccer

• Nine ACC teams earned bids to the 2023 NCAA Championship, most of any conference in this tournament.

• The ACC also claimed six of the 16 national seeds: Notre Dame (2), North Carolina (3), Virginia (7), ACC champion Clemson (9), Wake Forest (10) and Duke (15).

• All nine ACC programs that qualified for the tournament hosted at least one game. 

• This marks the 11th straight season in which the ACC placed the most teams in the tournament and the 23rd consecutive season that at least five league teams earned a bid.

• ACC teams have won 19 NCAA men’s soccer championships, including 10 since 2001. Syracuse is the reigning champion after capturing its first national championship last season. Clemson won the crown in 2021.

• 2022 marked the fourth straight tournament in which the ACC boasted two Men’s College Cup participants, with Pitt and Syracuse. The ACC has had at least one team in the College Cup in 21 of the last 22 seasons.

• Seven current ACC programs have won at least one national championship, the most of any conference. 

• Eleven active league programs have reached the Men’s College Cup. Sixty-three ACC teams have reached the Men’s College Cup all-time.
