CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini soccer continues Big Ten play with a two-match homestand; first a ranked battle vs. No. 12 Wisconsin on Thursday before a showdown with Purdue on Sunday. Kickoffs are set for 7:00 p.m. CT and 1:00 p.m. CT, respectively.

The 2023 season marks the 27th season of Illinois soccer, with the Illini holding an overall record of 282-214-46 (.563), and the 22nd season under the leadership of head coach Janet Rayfield.

Admission is free to all home Illinois soccer matches, with spectator parking available in the Atkins Tennis Center parking lot and the grass lots just east of the soccer practice field.

Thursday, Oct. 12 vs. #12 Wisconsin | 7 p.m. CT

Illini Hour – Get to Demirjian Park early for Illini Hour from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for $5 drink specials.

Kick Cancer – The Illini raise awareness and honor those that have battled cancer. Fans are encouraged to stop by the marketing table and tie ribbons to honor their loved ones that have battled.

Sunday, Oct. 15 vs. Purdue | 1 p.m. CT

Socctober Fest – Celebrate Socctober Fest at Demirjian Park. Doors open at noon and the first 300 fans will receive an Illini beer mug. Fans can stop by the Riggs Brewing beer truck and pretzels and beer cheese will be a featured concession item.

Last Time Out

Illinois dropped a 3-1 contest on the road to Minnesota on Sunday in its lone match last week.

Kennedy Berschel scored her second goal of the season, setting a new career-best mark, in the fourth minute off a corner kick to put the Illini in front early, but the Gophers hit back with a pair of goals in quick succession in the 16th and 22nd minutes before adding their third in the 87th minute to put the match out of reach.
