SACRAMENTO, Calif. – After first releasing the Legacy Kit that celebrates the club’s past through iconography, Republic FC unveiled today a second hummel jersey as part of this year’s on-field line up – The Resilient Kit. With a refreshed design of the club’s first white jersey that has evolved throughout its history, the new kit features an updated, resilient red sash symbolic of the path the club has traveled, and where it plans to go in the next decade. The kit is now available for sale at Shop.SacRepublicFC.com and will debut on the field tomorrow, when the club takes on Orange County SC on the road.
“We are thrilled to add another hummel kit to our collection,” Republic FC Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Ashley Horsley. “While the Legacy Kit told the story of our club’s rich history, the new Resilient Kit is a step into our future – as a club and as a community – while still lifting up the integral parts of who we are.”
Inspired by the inaugural 2014 kit worn when Republic FC lifted the USL Cup, the Resilient Kit adds a new chapter to Indomitable Club’s kit collection. The original Old Glory Red lifted directly from the California state flag for the club’s crest and first kits, now creates twin guiding lines for a new, modern sash. The hummel jersey introduces a new color to Republic FC’s collection – Resilient Red – featured in the bold sash. The eye-catching, bright hue symbolizes the Indomitable Club’s future as it continues to find new ways to stand out, both in the community and on the field. The combination of the colors represents the Indomitable journey of the club, side-by-side with the new addition of Resilient Red signaling a bright and bold future.
The Resilient Kit’s name is not only a nod to its most prominent color, but it also reflects a core value that has been instilled in every aspect of the club since its first season: Indomitable, a story like no other. The Indomitable Club reflects the spirit of the region and is defined by its resiliency. The history of triumph over tragedy, courage in the face of a challenge, and the connected community of the city have become the markers of Sacramento, as well as the identity of Republic FC.
