Klopp favourite ‘will ask to join Liverpool’ on one condition as manager is given transfer ultimatum

Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants to sign Ryan Gravenberch

Ryan Gravenberch is ‘pushing’ Thomas Tuchel to convince him to stay at Bayern Munich after Jurgen Klopp made it clear he wants to bring him to Liverpool, according to Christian Falk.

Gravenberch made the move from Ajax to Bayern last summer but has struggled for consistent playing time.

The recent sacking of Julian Nagelsmann probably gave the Dutch international some hope he will be given some more minutes.

However, Tuchel is yet to hand Gravenberch a start and did not give him a single minute across both legs of Bayern’s Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City.

They remain linked with a host of midfield players, however. Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo are reportedly on Klopp’s shortlist.

It looks like the Liverpool hierarchy are willing to spend a lot of money this summer, but were clearly reluctant to blow the majority of their budget on a single player.

The Reds host Tottenham on Sunday as both teams try to give themselves a chance of finishing inside the top four.
