TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One today announced the Team of the Week for Week 4 of the 2023 regular season with South Georgia Tormenta FC midfielder Pedro Fonseca named Player of the Week presented by Konami eFootball after recording a goal and assist in Tormenta FC’s 2-0 Peach States Derby victory over Greenville Triumph SC.
The Rio de Janeiro native and 25-year-old midfielder helped Tormenta FC open the scoring in the 24th minute, providing a slick backheel assist to fellow South Georgia newcomer Jackson Khoury who slotted the ball just inside the far post. Wrapping up the South Georgia victory and teaming up with Khoury once again, Fonseca gathered a quick Khoury pass at the top of the six-yard box and hammered his first goal of the season past Jared Mazzola to wrap up Tormenta FC’s derby victory.
