Bournemouth left back Jordan Zemura ‘has been banished from training with the first team for the rest of the season’ as the defender ‘opens talks with Udinese’ over a free transfer this summer
- Jordan Zemura has been left out of Bournemouth’s last five matchday squads
- The left-back’s contract with the Cherries expires at the end of the season
- Italian side Udinese have reportedly opened up talks with the 23-year-old
Bournemouth defender Jordan Zemura has reportedly been sent to train with their development squad for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old who has made 59 appearances for the Cherries since joining the club in 2019, is a free agent this summer.
As things stand, it looks unlikely that Zemura will sign a new contract extension, given that he has been left out of their last five matchday squads.
The Athletic have now reported that the left back has been banished from training with the first team for the remainder of the current campaign.
It comes as the Zimbabwe international is said to have opened talks with Serie A outfit Udinese over a free transfer this summer.

Recent victories over Liverpool, Fulham and Leicester City have helped Bournemouth move out of the relegation zone, as they sit 15th in the table – three points clear of the bottom three.
O’Neil was recently asked about Zemura’s future during a press conference before their 3-0 loss to Aston Villa last month.
Asked if Zemura had a future at the club, the manager said: ‘I think Jordan has had a good time here, of course.
‘My job at the moment, I don’t get involved at all in contract situations, just purely on team selection.
