Man Utd to make €120m offer for Bundesliga striker; Chelsea will ‘out-bid’ rivals to sign Leeds star

Man Utd target Kolo Muani

Man Utd are ‘preparing a big offer’ for a 16-goal Bundesliga striker, while Chelsea have ‘joined the race’ for one of Leeds United’s best players…

MAN UTD ‘PREPARE BIG OFFER’ FOR STRIKER
The Red Devils have been linked with several forwards of late, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen regularly mentioned among their top targets.

But Christian Falk (via Caught Offside) reports that Man Utd are set to make a ‘big offer’ for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Kolo Randal Muani.

The 24-year-old has been in stunning form this term. He’s grabbed 16 goals and 14 assists in 34 outings for the Bundesliga outfit across all competitions.

Falk adds that United’s bid – which will apparently be worth as much as €120m – will have to be accepted by Frankfurt. A ‘meeting’ between Muani’s agent and the club’s director took place ‘last week’ and it is said that ‘they have to consider’ a sale if a significant offer is made for the Frenchman.

Separate reports have indicated that Osimhen is actually Man Utd’s preferred striker target, while Kane may be on the market if he does not extend his contract at Tottenham.

Falk notes that it is ‘good news for Bayern Munich if Muani does end up going to United, as it then means United are out of the Kane transfer poker’.

ETH ‘IN LINE’ FOR NEW CONTRACT
Erik ten Hag has Man Utd moving in the right direction and he has already ended their five-season trophy drought. While United’s ownership situation remains unclear, The Mirror are suggesting that Ten Hag’s ‘job will be safe whatever the process is’.

The head coach ‘is in line to be given a new Manchester United contract – regardless of who owns the club’. He only signed a three-year deal when he took over last summer but they are seemingly ready to give the ex-Ajax boss more backing.

While ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was negatively impacted by their takeover last year, ‘the feedback from Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos Group and Sheikh Jassim’s Nine Two Foundation is that both bidders believe Ten Hag is the right manager to bring back the glory days’.

The Glazer family are ‘currently involved in negotiations to sell-up for £6billion’ but Man Utd have ‘indicated to Ten Hag that they want to reward him for the progress he has made during his short time at the club’.
