Man Utd line up 23-goal forward ‘first and foremost’ as Ten Hag’s four-man striker shortlist is revealed

Man Utd striker targets

Ben Jacobs is reporting that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is among several forwards Man Utd are considering signing ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The Red Devils are in the market for a marquee striker signing after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club at the end of last year.

Man Utd are progressing well under Erik ten Hag, but they likely need to get their next striker signing right if they are going to step up and challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Harry Kane has been linked to Man Utd. He is out of contract in 2024 and he is yet to commit his future to Tottenham Hotspur. Though with reports suggesting that United are unwilling to engage in negotiations with Daniel Levy, they may be forced to look elsewhere.

“So the Premier League has always been an option and Manchester United and Chelsea will be in that conversation as well.”

Jacobs goes on to suggest that Ajax’s Muhammad Kudus and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao are also options for Man Utd.

“And then there’s Muhammad Kudus as well, the Ghanaian that was excellent at the World Cup and who Erik ten Hag knows very well from his time at Ajax,” Jacobs added.

“But Leao is a player that they’ve looked at, but there’s nothing much more to it than that at this stage and it’s a very long shortlist of strikers for Manchester United.

“The key thing for Manchester United and other suitors to understand about [Rafael] Leao is whether he signs a new deal because that…
