San Antonio FC Brings Back Cristian Parano for 2023 Season

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC defender Lamar Batista and midfielder PC have both been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after strong showings in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Oakland Roots SC.

Batista scored twice and assisted once in his SAFC debut, coming just days after signing with the club. Defensively, the centerback made eight clearances, four interceptions and three tackles on the night. Batista’s first goal, a bicycle kick coming on an assist from PC, has also been nominated for the USL Championship Goal of the Week.

PC took the corner kick that led to Batista’s goal, giving the midfielder and captain his first assist of the season. PC created three chances on the night, completing 28 passes and making two tackles.

Batista and PC are back in action on Sunday, with SAFC traveling to take on Loudoun United FC. Kickoff from Segra Field is set for 3:00 p.m. CT, and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
