New York City Football Club II Announces 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season Schedule

New York, N.Y. – Today New York City Football Club (NYCFC II) announced its 2023 MLS NEXT Pro regular season schedule. The 2023 season will mark the team’s second season and will feature 28 regular season matches.


After a bye in week 1, the ‘Boys in Blue’ open their season on the road against the New England Revolution II on Sunday, April 2 at 8pm ET at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, M.A.

The following week, the Club welcomes the newly inaugurated Atlanta United 2 to Belson Stadium for its home opener on Sunday, April 9 at 7pm ET in Queens, N.Y.

This season will feature the inaugural Hudson River Derby in MLS NEXT Pro. The ‘Boys in Blue’ will face the New York Red Bulls II three times this season with the first and final matchup taking place in Pittser Field at Montclair State University on Sunday, May 14 at 7pm ET and Sunday, July 9 at 7pm ET. The home leg will be on June 11 at 7pm ET at Belson Stadium.

The MLS NEXT Pro regular season will consist of 378 regular season matches spanning from Friday, March 24 through Decision Day on Sunday, September 24. The postseason will run from Friday, September 29 through MLS NEXT Pro Cup on Sunday, October 22. Within each conference, the two division champions and the five clubs with the next highest points, seven clubs total, will advance to the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs.

All 28 regular season games will be played across 27 weeks, including 14 matches at home and 14 on the road. All matches will be played exclusively against conference opponents, each team will play home and away with each of the 13 conference opponents and will play three divisional opponents three times – New England, Philadelphia and New York Red Bulls.

This season we will see the induction of seven new MLS affiliated teams into the league. As part of the Eastern Conference, NYCFC II will feature in the Northeast division along with New England Revolution II, Philadelphia Union 2, Toronto FC II and the newly inducted Crown Legacy FC and New York Red Bulls II.
