MLS NEXT Pro unveiled today Inter Miami CF II’s full 2023 schedule consisting of 28 regular season games, kicking off on Sunday, March 26 against Chicago Fire II at DRV PNK Stadium and concluding with a home Decision Day matchup against NYCFC II on Sunday, Sept. 24.
“We’re very excited to kick off our second season in MLS NEXT Pro,” said head coach Federico Higuaín. “We’re looking forward to taking the opportunity to continue developing our players in a highly competitive environment. We hope to continue to help players reach the First Team level and be a competitive team in our division.”
Each MLS NEXT Pro club will play 28 intraconference matches – an increase from 24 matches per club in 2022.
The second season of MLS NEXT Pro will see seven new clubs join the league. The new teams in the Eastern Conference are Atlanta United 2, Huntsville City FC, New York Red Bulls II, and Crown Legacy FC. The new teams in Western Conference are LAFC 2, LA Galaxy II and Austin FC II. Inter Miami CF II will face each of the new Eastern Conference opponents for the first time in the 2023 regular season.
