March 14, 2023 – Major League Soccer (MLS)Inter Miami CF News Release

With the second month of the new year already in the rearview mirror, let’s take a look at the Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health talented youth players that excelled in February.

To start off with our youngest age bracket, U-12 Academy team defender Navid Farhadezeh gets the nod as Player of the Month for February.

“Navid is a perfect example of being a student of the game. I’m happy for his improvement and for his consistency. We want to encourage him to keep pushing and giving 100%,” said U-12 head coach Julius James.

Moving on to the mid level groups, it was U-14 defender Antonio Antonello who was chosen as Player of the Month.

“Antonio has performed exceptionally well playing up an age group with the 2009s. He played in every match in February, starting the last four in which IMCF managed to collect four wins with Antonio anchoring a defense which kept 3 shutouts,” expressed U-14 Academy team head coach Giuseppe DePalo. “He has shown his defensive consistency and leadership qualities. Antonio is a solid 1v1 defender and understands his role within the collective. We are excited about his impact moving forward.”

Lastly, U-16 defender Adrián Rosario, who also represented the Club on the international arena in February by competing in the Concacaf U-17 Championship with Puerto Rico, stood out in our Academy’s eldest group bracket.

“Adrian had an excellent month, including representing Puerto Rico in the Concacaf U-17 Championships. He is an excellent leader on and off the field. His performances are extremely consistent, and he rarely has a bad game. He sacrifices and always works for the team. He brings great energy to every training session and raises the level for those around him. He is the type of player coaches look forward to working with,” detailed U-16 head coach Alex Kuehl.
