Paris Saint-Germain have got a favourable Ligue 1 fixture at home to Nantes to navigate before their trip to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night. That game is a major factor to consider when looking ahead to the Nantes game.
The 3-0 win over Marseille last time out was crucial to keeping PSG in control of the Ligue 1 title race. Their lead is back up to eight points and they will feel well-placed to secure the title again having weathered a bit of a storm.
Here is the lineup that Christophe Galtier may choose to secure a win against Nantes, with the Champions League in mind.
GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma – Having beaten Keylor Navas to the number one spot, Donnarumma’s job now is to make sure the defenders have nothing to worry about behind them for many years.
CB: Nordi Mukiele – With Presnel Kimpembe now out for the season, Mukiele is going to have to quickly learn how to play in a back three as they are light for numbers in that area.
CB: Marquinhos – The Brazilian defender is one of the leaders of this squad now having been there for many years and he must stay as fit as possible.
CB: Sergio Ramos – The Spaniard and Marquinhos have even more responsibility in that back three having lost Kimpembe, but he has the experience to do it.
RM: Warren Zaire Emery – With Mukiele needed in the back three, youngster Zaire Emery is set to get another chance to impress. He could book himself a starting place against Bayern Munich with a good performance here.

CM: Vitinha – The Portuguese midfielder is growing in importance for PSG and knows there is a spot to make his own in this midfield.
CM: Danilo Pereira – He was the other contender to move into the back three but with Marco Verratti out, he is needed at the base of the PSG midfield.
CM: Fabian Ruiz – It has not been a superb first season in France for Fabian Ruiz who must be looking at Napoli and wondering what might have been. He has a big job to do over the next few days.
ST: Lionel Messi – They will supposedly be a front two but they can do as they please. The order of the day for Messi is to win the game and get out without an injury, preferably having only played 60 minutes or so.
ST: Kylian Mbappe – It’s the same story for Mbappe as for Messi. Galtier would love it if his team is 3-0 up within half an hour and he can start to withdraw some stars ahead of the Bayern Munich game.
