Pacific FC Signs Dutch Forward Ayman Sellouf

January 25, 2023 – Canadian Premier League (CPL)Pacific FC News Release

Langford, BC – Pacific FC today announced the signing of forward Ayman Sellout ahead of the 2023 season.

Sellouf, 21, has substantial experience in Dutch football and adds to Pacific’s growing core of Dutch players, with Djenairo Daniels and Bradley Vliet already confirmed as part of the roster for the upcoming season.

“We are excited to add another young international player of this quality to our team,” said James Merriman, Head Coach, Pacific FC. “Ayman is extremely positive about the opportunity. He has great potential, and we look forward to welcoming him to Pacific.”

He began his career playing youth football for hometown team NEC Nijmegen in the Netherlands, where he spent five years in the club’s academy before signing professional terms in 2019 as an 18-year-old. He made 24 appearances and scored three goals in the Eerste Divisie, the country’s second division, over two seasons before moving to FC Utrecht in 2021.

Sellouf played for the club’s reserve team, Jong Utrecht, again in the Eerste Divisie. During his time with Utrecht, Sellouf made 24 appearances and scored two goals.

“He’s an exciting wide player who plays primarily on the left,” said Merriman. “He’s good on the ball, dynamic and direct going forward. Ayman shows good quality one on one and will be a great addition to our attack.”

Pacific FC’s roster now stands at 16 with more additions to be announced shortly.
