Lampard is keen to add more attacking options to his side after the arrival of the Netherlands man, particularly as interest builds in Anthony Gordon.

Gordon was of high interest from Chelsea in the summer but is now being chased by Newcastle, who are looking to maintain their push for a top four finish.

Everton have been surrounded by unrest at the club with fans protesting against the board in recent times, and Gordon was caught up in an altercation with fans last week.

Danjuma will be the first player signed this transfer window for an Everton side that sit 19th in the Premier League table, two points from safety.

They have only scored 15 league goals this season in 28 games, resulting in Lampard crying out for reinforcements.

The former midfielder is at risk himself and is set to learn his fate on Monday, however, with owner Farhad Moshiri searching for his replacement despite insisting it is ‘not his decision’ if Lampard is dismissed.
