Manchester United are eyeing a couple of 24-year-old France internationals to bolster their defence and attack, while Neymar is up for grabs…
UNITED EYE FRANCE CENTRE-BACK
Manchester United may be desperate for a striker but they also appear to be making progress with their mission to bolster the centre of their defence.
Erik ten Hag is on the hunt for another top-class central defender, with persistent concerns over Raphael Varane’s fitness and doubts over Harry Maguire’s future. Maguire, apparently, will not be sold this month but the club captain could be moved on in the summer, with Luke Shaw seemingly ahead of him int he pecking order.
All of which has led United to Monaco’s door, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Red Devils keen to sign Axel Disasi from the French side. Disasi made his France debut during the World Cup after going to Qatar as a late replacement for Presnel Kimpembe.
The 24-year-old can also play at right-back and his ascent into the national side, combined with the fact Monaco have already sold Benoit Badiashile to Chelsea this month, means he won’t come cheap. Though that hasn’t deterred Tottenham and West Ham from looking at Disasi too.
RED DEVILS JOIN CLAMOUR FOR MAUNI

Sky Germany reckons the Red Devils are ‘highly interested’ in signing Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt this month. But United are certainly not the only club keen on the 24-year-old. On Thursday, Liverpool were being linked with the attacker who has eight goals and 11 assists in 23 appearances this term.
Such numbers and the level of interest means Frankfurt will expect a high price for Muani, with the Bundesliga side said to be insisting on over £80million to sell this month.

Apparently, PSG have put the word out that they are open to selling the Brazil star for a knockdown fee. Fichajes reckons it would cost just £45million to land the 31-year-old, with the Parisians keen to fund a new deal for Lionel Messi instead.
Neymar has been in impressive form for PSG this season, scoring 11 goals and offering 10 assists in 15 Ligue 1 matches. Sport suggests Newcastle explored ways of signing the forward last summer and could renew their interest in the star who turns 31 next month.
