As the Premier League gets ready to restart again after the World Cup, we thought we’d take a look at this year’s top goal contributors in the league.
Erling Haaland may have only arrived in England last summer, but his scintillating start has seen him rise through the list in thunderous style.
Elsewhere, there are two entries from the kings of Premier League inconsistency, Leicester City. Tottenham are also well-represented here.

=10. Harvey Barnes – 18
Leicester have recovered from a shocking start to the 2022-23 season and Barnes has played a pivotal role in their revival.
The 25-year-old, who was on the fringes of England’s World Cup squad before being left at home, has plundered an impressive 18 goals and assists this year from the wing.
He’s surely due an international recall for the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
=10. Gabriel Jesus – 18
One man who has undoubtedly benefited from leaving Manchester City is current Arsenal striker Jesus.
The Brazil international scored just eight Premier League goals in his final season with Pep Guardiola.
Since moving to Arsenal, the 25-year-old has already found five goals and five assists.
Jesus is currently on 18 goal contributions in 2022 (11 goals and seven assists), but he won’t have the opportunity to add to those numbers after picking up an injury during World Cup duty with Brazil.
9. Dejan Kulusevski – 19
Tottenham’s Kulusevski has also made the top five following a strong start to his Premier League career.
The Sweden international boasts good numbers in 2022 with six goals and 13 assists to his name at Spurs.
And we expect Kulusevski to play an important role in Antonio Conte’s push for Champions League qualification.
8. Bukayo Saka – 20
Over the last couple of seasons, Saka has gone from a future prospect to being an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s project.
This calendar year alone, the midfielder has come up with 10 goals and 10 assists.
And the youngster impressed at the World Cup, scoring three times in England’s march to the quarter-finals of Qatar 2022. No wonder he’s known as Arsenal’s star boy.
