Jordan Henderson has once again praised England team-mate Jude Bellingham amid reports linking him with a transfer to Liverpool next year.
Henderson and Bellingham have formed quite a bond from playing with each other for England.
The midfielders combined for England’s first goal against Senegal last Sunday in the World Cup round of 16.
Both players impressed as Gareth Southgate’s side beat the African Cup of Nations holders 3-0 to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Bellingham is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer with Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid all looking to secure his services.
He is doing his chances of earning a move no harm with his form at the World Cup as he has been one of the tournament’s best players.
It is expected that he could cost as much as £130m with Dortmund able to ask as much as they want with him not out of contract until 2025.
Henderson will likely be doing work behind the scenes to tempt Bellingham into joining Liverpool. The experienced centre-midfielder has even batted away calls for him to join Real Madrid over the English side.
Ex-Premier League striker Darren Bent has been full of praise for Bellingham, claiming that the 19-year-old is an “incredible talent”.
Bent has also revealed what Henderson’s response was when he texted the Liverpool star about Bellingham.
“Bellingham’s incredible, he’s only 19 years old and plays with a kind of fearlessness, doesn’t he?” Bent said on talkSPORT.
“He can take the ball, go past people, create opportunities. He is an incredible talent.
“I really like what he’s done. He went from Birmingham, nurtured his talents and went to Borussia Dortmund, who have polished him off and made him into a world-beater.
“He could be one of the best midfielders in the world because he’s got all the attributes. He’s quick, he’s strong, he’s powerful, he can score a goal and can see a pass.
“I messaged Hendo the other day and I said, ‘Jude Bellingham, what a player’.
“All he messaged me back was, ‘You have no idea.’”
When asked how much he thinks Bellingham will cost, Bent responded: “£120m plus.”
Bent is a huge fan of Bellingham but he thinks Wayne Rooney is still the best teenager to play for England at a major tournament.
“Rooney at 16 was a freak,” Bent continued.
“People forget how good Rooney was when he was a kid. At 18 in Euro 2004 he absolutely ran things before he got that injury.
“His performances at Euro…
