A late goal from sophomore forward Giona Leibold propelled Syracuse past instate rival Cornell 1-0 in the NCAA Championship Third Round. The Orange outshot the Big Red, 16-9, as the Syracuse defense kept its 11th clean sheet of the season. Redshirt-senior goalkeeper Russell Shealy finished with two saves and assisted Leibold on the match-winning goal.

The Orange are back in the NCAA Championship Quarterfinals for the first time since 2015. Syracuse beat Boston College, 1-0, as a 79th minute goal from Ben Polk sent ‘Cuse to the College Cup for the first time in program history.
