Locomotive Club & Academy Closes out Successful Season

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive Club and Academy Teams shined this past weekend in El Paso Premier League (EPPL) Playoffs, with four teams finishing as league champions and numerous others placing within the top four.


“We are incredibly proud of the growth and success our youth teams have had over the season,” Director of Youth Soccer and Programs Colin Herlinger said. “In all age groups, we never show complacency or stagnate, we always look to improve, and our coaches find new ways to progress for greater success. We want to allow our players and athletes time to rest and recover for next season, but we will quickly come back together and prepare for next season with indoor training and a technical academy. We have an exciting future in front of us.”

A summary of Locomotive Club results from the weekend are as follows:

2014 Gold, first in the U9 Premier Division and finished league runners-up.

2014 Blue, played a year up in the U10 Premier Division and finished as semifinalists.

2013 Blue, second in the U10 Championship Division and finished third in the playoffs.

2012 Blue, first in the U11 Premier Division and finished as league champions.

2011 Silver, second in the U12 Championship Division and finished as league champions.

2011 Gold, third in the U12 Premier Division and finished third in the playoffs.

2011 Blue, played a year up in the U13 Championship Division and finished as quarterfinalists.

2010 Gold, first in the U13 Championship Division and finished league runners-up.

2010 Blue, played in the U13 Premier Division.

2009 Gold, second in the U14 Championship Division and finished league runners-up.

2009 Blue, played in the U14 Premier Division and finished as quarterfinalists.

2008 Blue, third in the U15 Championship Division and finished third in the playoffs.

2007 Blue, played in the U16 Premier Division.

2005 Blue, finished as quarterfinalists.

2006 Girls Blue, played in the U14 Boys Championship Division.

2005 Girls Blue, fourth in the U15 Boys Championship Division.

In addition to impressive showings from the boys, the girls club teams showed grit and determination when competing in the boys’ divisions.
