Washington Travels To Oregon State

SEATTLE – The Washington men’s soccer team will hit the road to close out the first half of the conference schedule at Oregon State on Friday night. Kickoff from Paul Lorenz Field is set for 6 p.m. and airing on Pac-12 Network.
 
The Huskies (12-0-1, 4-0-0 Pac-12) are one of five unbeaten teams in the nation, joining Dayton, Duke, Kentucky and Xavier. In addition, Washington is on top of all three major polls (College Soccer News, United Soccer Coaches and TopDrawerSoccer) for the third straight week.

Washington sits on top of the current Pac-12 standings with a record of 4-0-0 (12 points). UCLA is in second at 2-2-1 (7) followed behind with Stanford (6 pts), Oregon State (5 pts), San Diego State (4 pts) and California (4 pts).

 

THE LAST TIME OUT

The Dawgs extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games with a 3-0 win over Gonzaga at Husky Soccer Stadium on Oct. 14. Nick Scardina (2 goals) and Ilijah Paul (1 goal) scored in the contest.

 

Imanol Rosales tallied three assists, marking the 13^th time in program history that a Husky had three or more assists in a match. The last time was Charlie Ostrem (3) against UCLA on April 8, 2021.

 

With the win, Washington secured its seventh straight 12-win season.

 

UW-OREGON STATE HISTORY

Washington leads the all-time series over Oregon State 44-17-5. In Corvallis, the Hus­kies lead 21-8-5 and are 30-11-4 overall in conference play.

 

OREGON STATE SCOUTING REPORT

Oregon State sits at 5-3-3 on the season with a 1-1-2 mark in conference action. The Beavers are coming off an upset win over then-No. 6 Portland on Friday night in a 3-2 victory for OSU. Ellis Spikner and Dante Williams lead the team with three goals each. Mouhameth Thiam has four assists on the year.

As a team, Washington leads the Pac-12 in assists per game (3.23), goal differential (+30), points per game (8.62), save percentage (0.844), scoring offense (2.69), shutout percentage (0.615), team goals against average (0.385), total assists (42), total goals (35), total points (112) and win-loss-tie percentage (0.962).

 

Individually multiple Huskies are leading the conference in categories. Lucas Meek leads the Pac-12 in assists per game (0.62), goals per game (0.69), points per game (2.00), total assists (8), total goals (9) and total points (26).
