Arsenal ‘enquire’ over £37.8m West Ham star as ‘a lot of clubs circle’

Bowen

Arsenal “made an enquiry” for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen but talk of him moving to the Emirates is “hypothetical” as David Moyes is desperate to keep him at the London Stadium.

Bowen was in stunning form for West Ham last term, contributing 12 goals and 12 assists in the Premier League.

His displays earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad and he’ll be hoping to secure his spot on the plane for the World Cup in Qatar this winter.

And he also caught the eye of Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

“So, there’s lots of excitement about Bowen moving potentially to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment, because West Ham don’t want to sell.

“But Arsenal have definitely made an enquiry around Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”

West Ham will be competing on multiple fronts again this year having qualified for the Europa Conference League, and Moyes is working to improve the quality and depth of his squad.

As well as hanging on to their best players they’ve also spent signficantly this summer, with Gianluca Scamacca (£32.4m), Nayef Aguerd (£31.5m), Flynn Downes (£9.59m) and Alphonse Areola (£8.37m) all…
