Kone has already made his international debut and Canada coach John Herdman hailed the youngster for his ‘fearless mindset’.

Herdman also told One Soccer: ‘This kid is genuine, grounded and down to earth.

‘He’s got a personality, you can stand and have a joke with him and he isn’t too enamored by the environment in terms of the personalities that are in the game.

‘He fits in and it’s been really cool to watch. He’s strolling around with his chest out – not in an arrogant way but he’s here to enjoy the environment.’

The Canaries have already recruited a defensive midfielder with Isaac Hayden arriving on loan from Newcastle United.

But boss Dean Smith will be keen to bolster his ranks following the departures of Mathias Normann, Chelsea loanee Billy Gilmour and Pierre Lees-Malou, as well as the contract expiry of Lukas Rupp.
