San Antonio FC Tops Monterey Bay F.C. Behind Late Santiago Patiño Goal

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC topped FC Tulsa tonight 2-1 after trailing 0-1 at halftime. Ignacio Bailone and Samuel Adeniran scored within 70 seconds of each other in the 55th and 57th minutes to secure the win.


Tulsa struck in the 36th minute to take a lead into halftime. Just 10 minutes into the second half, Ignacio Bailone headed a looping cross from Justin Dhillon into the net to make it 1-1. The goal was Bailone’s first of the season, coming just a minute after coming into the match as a substitute.

Just 70 seconds later, San Antonio took the lead with a goal from Samuel Adeniran. The goal marked Adeniran’s second with SAFC in just four matches with the club. The pair of quick goals are the fastest consecutive goals in club history.

The San Antonio defense held Tulsa to just the one shot on target on the night, with only two total shots in the second.

SAFC is back at home Saturday for a matchup with Charleston Battery at Toyota Field. The match kicks off at 8:00 p.m. CT, with tickets on sale now at SanAntonioFC.com or the San Antonio FC app.
