Road Warriors: San Antonio FC has been strong on the road this season, going 7-2-0 and including three clean sheets. The winning record away from Toyota Field is part of an upwards trend since Alen Marcina took over as head coach ahead of the 2020 season. Under Marcina, SAFC is 17-10-6 on the road in the regular season, compared to 18-32-14 in the club’s first 64 matches from 2016-19. Marcina is just one road win away from matching the previous total in 34 matches.
Oh Captain: SAFC midfielder and captain PC tallied another assist against Oakland, bringing his season total to ateam-leading and career-best four. The total is tied for the eighth-most in the league, and sixth in the Western Conference.
