Loudoun United FC Loan Goalkeeper Dane Jacomen to Charlotte Independence Leesburg, VA. – Loudoun United FC today announced goalkeeper Dane Jacomen will join Charlotte Independence on a short-term loan.
Dane Jacomen, a Pittsburgh native, joined Loudoun United FC after forgoing his final year of eligibility at University of Pennsylvania. The six-foot-three-inch goalkeeper originally signed with Loudoun United in January but has recently joined the squad for training in late May.
The D.C. United Academy product was awarded the 2021 USL League Two Golden Glove award while playing for West Chester United SC. Jacomen had an impressive run between the sticks in the 2021 League Two season only conceding five goals in 13 games played. In addition, the goalkeeper maintained a .41 goals against average.
The next match for Loudoun United FC is this Saturday, June 18 at Segra Field against Phoenix Rising FC.
