Chelsea could reportedly be the ‘first to bid’ for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku this summer amid interest from Man Utd and Newcastle United.
The Frenchman had a spell at PSG earlier in his career. He signed for RB Leipzig in 2019 for around £11m.
Nkunku enjoyed a breakout season in 2021/22 as he scored 35 goals in 52 games across all competitions. This included 20 goals in the Bundesliga.

This form led to him making his senior debut for France earlier this year. He has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League of late.
But he has also admitted that Paris is his “home” and that “everything is possible in football”.
L’Equipe (via Daily Mail) are reporting that Chelsea could be the ‘first to bid’ for the player, who is valued at £50m.
Though it is noted that they face competition for his signature. Man Utd and Newcastle United are also ‘interested’ in signing him.
RB Leipzig ‘have no intention’ of selling Nkunku this summer so it would ‘take a sizeable offer to prize him away’.
Elsewhere, Inter Milan are reportedly interested in bringing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku back to the San Siro this summer after his nightmare return to Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international joined the Blues last summer for £97.5m after scoring 64 goals in 95 appearances for Inter in the 2020/21 campaign.
Many tipped Lukaku to hit the ground running on his return to the Premier League but the 29-year-old has struggled to have an impact at Chelsea this term.
The Times claim that Lukaku ‘plans to hold talks with Chelsea about his future this summer once the club’s hierarchy has been established under a new ownership led by Todd Boehly’.
