Inter Miami CF will visit Orlando City SC in the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup Round of 16 on May 24 or May 25. The final date and time for the match at Exploria Stadium will be announced tomorrow by U.S. Soccer.
Inter Miami advanced to the Round of 16 in the single-elimination tournament after wins over USL League One side South Georgia Tormenta FC and USL Championship team Miami FC. In the club’s first-ever Open Cup match, the team defeated Miami FC 0-1 at FIU Stadium on April 19 in the Third Round led by a Leonardo Campana winner. Then, on May 10, Inter Miami earned its fifth victory in the last seven matches by defeating South Georgia Tormenta FC 3-1 in the Round of 32 in the first-ever Open Cup match played at DRV PNK Stadium, thanks to an Ariel Lassiter brace and a Robbie Robinson goal.
