May 7, 2022 – National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) – Orlando Pride News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Pride has signed Canadian midfielder Jordyn Listro to a contract for the remainder of the 2022 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season, it was announced today. Listro, a product of the University of South Florida, has a green card and will not occupy an international spot for the Pride.
“We are excited to welcome Jordyn back to Orlando as a member of the Pride,” Orlando Pride General Manager Ian Fleming said. “She’s been training with us again for the last few weeks and has impressed us with her development, work ethic, and positive mindset, and we felt it was the right time to bring her back into the fold. It’s good to have her back with the group once more.”
Listro, 25, rejoins the Club after first signing a short-term contract with the Pride for the Fall Series in 2020. Listro appeared in three of the Pride’s four Fall Series matches, eventually signing a full contract ahead of the 2021 NWSL season before being traded to Kansas City Current in March of that year.
On the international stage, Listro has represented Canada at the youth and senior levels. She made her youth international debut at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan in 2012. Her senior debut came on February 21, 2021 at Exploria Stadium, the home of the Pride, in the SheBelieves Cup.
In 2017, Listro made her professional debut with Spanish Primera División team UDG Tenerife. At the collegiate level, Listro set a USF record for games played with 82, starting in 75 matches and recording five assists during her time with the Bulls.
Listro is expected to be available for Sunday’s match at Angel City FC.
