Brentford boss Thomas Frank says he is “very hopeful” Christian Eriksen will decide to stay with the Bees, but a decision will only be revealed at the end of the season.
Eriksen has been a revelation since signing a short-term contract with Brentford. And his class was there for all to see in Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Tottenham. The Dane was arguably the most creative player on pitch as he faced his former club.
Spurs are among the clubs keen to sign him in the summer. Eriksen’s performance in front of Antonio Conte could have convinced the Italian tactician to do all he can to make the deal happen.

Conte knows Eriksen well from his time in charge of Inter Milan. His performance on Saturday was just a reminder that he still has it at the highest level.
Eriksen is still faced with a tough decision. The midfielder is back enjoying his football and could be happy to stay with Brentford. He is guaranteed first-team football and the grass is not always greener.
Frank believes there are plenty of good reasons for Eriksen to stay put. The Bees boss is staying positive but will give the playmaker all the time he needs.
“I would love to say that I am confident, I am very positive and very hopeful that he will stay but it will be a decision at the end of the season,” Frank told reporters.
“I will do what I can but it’s down to Christian, where it’s like everything if you decide to go to one club or another, you buy that house or another house, you take that job or another job.
“There must be pros and cons and I always say if you make it an eight-two decision, where you have eight pros and two cons, then you are in a good position. I hope Christian makes the right choice for him and his family and I really hope it will be us.”
