'Cats Fight Back to Beat Bradley 3-1


EVANSTON, Ill. – The Wildcats returned to action over the weekend by welcoming in-state rivals, Bradley University to Ryan Fieldhouse.
 
After conceding the first goal in the 24th minute, sophomore Joseph Arena pulled one back to level the match just before halftime. The ‘Cats continued to create chances and dominate possession against a tough Bradley defense and eventually scored off a header from junior Deng Deng Kur to pull ahead. Freshman Ibrahim Obeid entered the match in the second half and his finish brought the score line to 3-1 which is how it ended. 
 
The ‘Cats now begin their 2022 Chicago Cup campaign opening with Loyola University Chicago on Saturday, April 9th at 1:30 PM. The winner will then advance to the finals to take on either DePaul University or the University of Illinois – Chicago. A third-place match will also take place between the two losing teams.

Semi-Final 1 at 1:30 PM: Northwestern University vs. Loyola University Chicago 
Semi-Final 2 at 4:00 PM: DePaul University vs. University of Illinois – Chicago

Final at TBA: Winner of Semi-Final 1 vs. Winner of Semi-Final 2
Third Place Game at TBA: Loser of Semi-Final 1 vs. Loser of Semi-Final 2
